Hip Opening Experience
with Nicole Durant
Physically, the hips are the largest joints in the body,
support most of the body’s weight,
and are the stabilizers for the body to feel grounded.
In yoga, it is said that the hips are known as the emotional junk drawer.
When we don’t know how to deal with
anxiety, grief, stress, or other negative emotions,
the hips are where these feelings are stored.
By doing hip-opening asanas,
we release physical and emotional stressors.
In this 2 hour workshop, Nicole Durant takes you
through a hot vinyasa flow
with a focus on releasing tension
and opening the complex hip structure.
She will help you bring awareness to the breath
so that you can soften and surrender
to the hip-opening poses.
At the end of the workshop,
there will be a guided meditation
focusing on releasing unneeded stressors,
negative thoughts, and emotions.
This will be a physical and emotionally freeing experience.

and strengthen muscles. They also promote emotional growth,
calm the mind and spirit, and guide energy toward the heart.
In this 2 hour intensive workshop, Karen will guide you
through a variety of yoga inversions, all the while offering helpful transitions and tips,
making inversion poses a lot less scary and a lot more enjoyable!
Challenge yourself as you learn:
Tripod Headstand, Classical Headstand with arm variations,
Baby Crow, Side Crow and Crow to Headstand,
Flying Scissors, Lizard and Half Pigeon,
Baby Grasshopper and Full Grasshopper, 8Limb and Firefly.
You will be amazed at your abilities and how energized you feel after this workshop!
