The use of modern GLP1 injectables, such as Ozempic, is widespread - almost everyone knows someone who has taken these drugs for weight loss. Patients report thinking less about food, fewer cravings, feeling more ‘normal’ and weight loss.

Several LGZ members have reached out with questions about weight loss using GLP-1 injectables, such as Ozempic. To address this growing interest, I (Pam Hornby PhD, Giv) am hosting a virtual, podcast-style conversation where you can listen - and participate - with the option of remaining anonymous.

We’ll discuss what to expect during and after treatment, including a key takeaway: the importance of mindfulness. Learning to recognize and respond to your body’s changing signals can help reshape habits and support better, longer-term outcomes.
This podcast will also introduce you to commonsense science explanations for these effects from a medical and personal experience (Gabriele). Complementing this, mindfulness techniques for increasing awareness of your bodies’ own signals will help align daily habits with your own metabolism (Pam). Demystifying GLP1s and increasing mindfulness can help meet your own, and support other’s, weight management goals.
Attendees will be able to have their questions answered and concerns discussed in a safe, compassionate environment.
Whether you’re considering GLP-1 therapy, supporting someone on their weight-loss journey, or simply curious, we’d love for you to join us! A Google Meet link will be sent after registration.
